Privacy statement
Jellema Audio Productions values your privacy. This website collects as little data as possible: there are no trackers, no visitor analytics and no contact form that stores your details. This statement explains which personal data is processed, why, and what rights you have.

Which data is processed
When you get in touch
The contact button on this site opens your own e-mail program. Nothing is entered or stored on this website. If you send an e-mail, the data you put in that message is processed: your name, your e-mail address and the contents of your message. That e-mail arrives in my mailbox.
When you are a client
To carry out and invoice an assignment, I process your name, company name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, VAT number and invoicing and payment details. These are kept in my administration, not on this website.
Technical data
The hosting provider records standard information in log files, such as your IP address, the time of your visit, the page requested and your browser type. This happens to keep the server running and to prevent abuse and attacks. These logs are not used to track visitors or to build profiles.
Purposes and legal grounds
- Answering your question or request — ground: performance of a contract or steps taken prior to it, or my legitimate interest in being able to respond to messages.
- Carrying out an assignment and sending invoices — ground: performance of the contract.
- Keeping business records — ground: a legal obligation (Dutch tax retention requirements).
- Securing the website and keeping it available — ground: legitimate interest in a working and safe site.
Cookies
This website uses no cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking visitors. Only functional and technically necessary cookies are placed, for which no consent is required:
- a cookie that remembers the language you selected (Dutch or English);
- cookies set by the caching software, which make pages load quickly;
- if you log in to the administration area: cookies that keep your session. These apply to administrators only, not to visitors.
You can always delete or block cookies through your browser settings.
No third-party services in the page
Every part of this website is served from its own server. The typefaces used are hosted locally and are not fetched from Google Fonts. There are no embedded videos, maps, social media buttons or other external elements that could pass data about your visit to third parties.
Who your data is shared with
Your data is never sold or rented out. It is shared only with the parties needed to do my work:
- the hosting provider, which makes the website and e-mail technically possible;
- my bookkeeper and the Dutch Tax Administration, in so far as this is necessary or required for my records.
Data processing agreements are in place with parties that process personal data on my behalf.
How long data is kept
- E-mail correspondence that does not lead to an assignment: two years at most.
- Client details and invoices: seven years, because of the statutory retention period for business records.
- Server log files: briefly, according to the hosting provider’s policy.
Security
The website runs over a secure connection (https), is kept up to date and is protected by malware scanning and a firewall. Access to the administration area is restricted by personal login details. If you believe something is wrong with your data or that the site is not secure, please get in touch at info@jaapjellema.nl.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- see which data about you has been recorded;
- have incorrect data corrected or completed;
- have your data erased, in so far as no retention obligation applies;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to the processing;
- receive your data in a common file format or have it transferred.
Send your request to info@jaapjellema.nl. You will receive a reply within four weeks. To be sure the request comes from you, additional information may be requested.
If we cannot resolve it together, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority at autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
Changes
This privacy statement may be amended, for example when the website changes or when the law gives cause to do so. The current version is always on this page, with the date of the last change at the top.
